the profesional rushes you

1. never be rushed.  If the guy will not take time to answer your questions, let him go, end the call. You cannot add anyone to the calendar unless you have gone through all of the qualifying questions exactly as you see on this role play:

2. stick to the script and avoid "extra" conversation.  If you start chatting and the call goes more than 5-6 minutes, then he is likely to suddenly say, "I need to take another call."  In other words, stick to the script and get through the entire call in a time-efficient manner.

3. if all else fails, you can send him this email.

Hi Joe,

Before we waste your valuable time with a demonstration of how we can get you new clients, can you please complete this scheduling form? It takes 2 minutes:

In the above link, replace the highlighted name with your first name.

If he clicks the link and adds himself to the calendar, you will get credit. Do not expect anyone to click this link.  This is a last-ditch effort that rarely works.  If it was effective to send out these links and have financial professionals click and add themselves to the calendar, then we would not need appointment setters.  We would simply send thousands of emails.

In other words, do not start emailing this link thinking this is an easy way to get demos on the calendar.  We have tried it -- it does not work.

The fact is this: people don't respond to cold emails or cold text messages and people do not add themselves to calendars.  What works is when a human being calls them (you)  and has a conversion (your script) and adds them to the calendar while on the phone call.
