LISTEN

I want you to earn as much as possible for your valuable time. Unfortunately, I see simple mistakes that cost everyone income.  When you add someone to the calendar who is not qualified or is a no-show, you not only cost yourself income, it wastes that valuable time slot for the business expert and you also cost him income.  Here are some examples of mistakes:

1. It is important to LISTEN to the financial advisor.  If he says "I only work with people who have a million minimum," do not add him to the calendar as we cannot meet that criteria.  The prospects we provide have investment assets from $250,000 to $1 million.  We cannot meet the requirement that they all have a million

2. if the advisor says "anytime after 4 pm," do not say "how about 3 pm?  You need to listen to what he says.  Do not schedule these advisors for a time when they may be in a rush from a prior appointment on their calendar.  This will be a no-show if he tries to squeeze us in and waste everyone's time.  If he tells you 4 pm or later, then find a day with a time 4 pm or later.  If you cannot find that time open on the calendar in the next 2 business days, then you will need to call him back when we have that time slot available.

3. we had an example where the email address entered into the calendar was yahoo, com.  The appointment setter typed a comma after "yahoo" rather than a period.  The calendar software will not allow you to continue.  It will say "invalid email address."  If you see that, it means you have mistyped the email address.

These are all simple mistakes and unfortunately, they cost you and the company money.

I had to terminate an appointment setter this week as more than 50% of the demonstrations he set were no-show or not qualified and the cost to the company is too high,

Here is a link to the original training so you can refresh your memory of how to avoid no-show and not-qualified situations.
