Different person answers than the name in the dialer

Question, When the name on the script does not match the person who answers (or the person has retired or left) , should I ask for that person, or just go into the pitch?


The numbers in the dialer are not all direct numbers.  Many are the office number and a gatekeeper or anyone might answer the phone.  So there is no reason to go into the script unless you know you are speaking to a financial professional (and not an office worker). So always ask for the person named in the dialer.  However, if the person named in the dialer is not at that number, you can go through the script with ANY financial professional that answers.


If the person you ask for is no longer at that office, ask "

"is there another Financial Professional in the office who can assist new clients?"
