Stuff advisors will say to you

Modified on Wed, 28 Aug at 3:50 PM

guy said "I am with northwestern mutual...."

here is what you need to know

1. we do not care what company he works for, what products he sells (as long as it is on this list). we do not get a percentage or get involved with his products or sales.  we do only one thing--we get prospects for financial advisors and life insurance agents

Life insurance (excluding final expense, meaning, we can only supply prospects for life insurance that is NOT final expense)

Annuities

Investment Management, Investment Sales

Long term care insurance

Financial Planning / Retirement Planning

Social Security Consulting

IRA and 401k rollovers

2. many of these advisors/agents express themselves VERY POORLY

what I think he meant was "Northwestern mutual will not allow me to use lead services"

background:

these large companies have very narrow rules about use of outside services like Retirement Prospects. Most of the agents and advisors ignore these rules and do what they want to gain clients.  Some agents and advisors follow these rules to the letter so if advisor agent says "are you approved by (company name), the answer is "we do not have any approvals with any companies as we deal directly with individual agents and advisors to help them gain clients. Would gaining clients interest you?"

The agent or advisor may then say "well if you are not approved by (company name), then I cannot use you." End the call.

It does not matter about his company policy as many of the agents or advisors of that company don't follow the policy.   So if an advisor at Edward Jones says "My company does not permit the use of services like Retirement Prospects" you can ignore that.  Why? Because the next guy you speak to at Edward Jones does not care about the company policy.  You can end the call with the guy who wants to follow the company policy but do not assume that all Edward Joens advisors care about that policy.

I have used "Edward Jones" in the above example but this applies to ALL financial services companies.

Your goal is to make as many calls as possible an hour and NOT waste time on people who are not interested or want you to answer multiple questions or in any way, make it difficult or waste your time.  By NOT wasting time with those people, you will easily find one or two people per hour that are EASY and interested in setting a demonstration.

Anyone can use our service who sells at least one of these services

Large Company Rules

Some large companies have strict rules for their agents and advisors.  We do not care. Those rules are of no concern to us.  That is an issue between the agent and his company.

We do not know those rules and do not get involved in each company's arbitrary rules for their agents.  We remove companies that we know have lots of rules for their agents from the dialer.

We do not care where someone works--if they want to use our service, great.  But they need to deal with the roadblocks at their own companies. We do not get involved in that. If they tell you they will "have to get permission" end the call, do not set a demonstration.
