Reminder calls

We want you to earn the maximum possible.  Confirming the demonstrations you set is critical or you will have more no-shows.  Our software already sends a text message reminder and an email reminder so please do not text or email the advisor.  Without a phone call reminder, there will be more no-shows.

Make your reminder call 90 minutes before the demonstration.  For those demonstrations you have set for early in the day, it is best to make your reminder call 4 pm the day before. For early Monday demonstrations, make the reminder call at 4 pm Sunday.  

The message is the same if you get the advisor live or voice mail:

Hi Stuart?  Just a courtesy reminder of your 9 am demonstration of how to gain new local clients.  You will get a call from (name of business expert) and he will be calling from xxx-xxx-xxxx.  Please be at a computer or laptop with an Internet connection.  Thank you.

In the above message, the time you state will be the time in HIS time zone. You can leave your phone number if you like. 

If you leave the message on voice mail, try calling again in 30 minutes to see that you can get them live.  Why? Because getting a live confirmation that they will attend is better and will improve your income.

Feel free to confirm demonstrations twice.  For example, if you set a demonstration on Friday for Tuesday, it is perfectly fine to make your reminder call on Monday and again on Tuesday.  If human beings did everything they said they would do, these calls would not be necessary.  The reality is, that people often do not do what they say and these reminder calls are essential.

What is the protocol for when you do call people day of  to confirm their appointment and they don't answer.

A couple of people that did show up last week I didn't reach them on the phone and then sent a text and luckily they did still show up. Moving forward- if people don't answer should I just go ahead and cancel the appointment myself?

just because they can't pick up when you make your reminder call (they may be on another call) does not mean they will be no-show. These people are on the phone all the time.
