dialer stops dialing

Modified on Thu, 25 Sep at 8:35 PM

are you making calls late in the day?

The dialer will only dial time zones where it is 5 PM or earlier. So if you're dialing at 6 PM Eastern, the dialer is only dialing numbers in the Pacific and Mountain time zones where it is still earlier than 5 PM.

In the United States, only 30% of the phone numbers are in the Mountain and Pacific time zones (70% are in the Eastern and Central time zones).

So if you are calling late in the day, for example 6 PM Eastern time,  it is possible that the dialer could run out of numbers in the Pacific and Mountain time zones because there's far fewer of those numbers in the United States.

If that happens, the dialer will appear to just stop working.

For the above reason, it's advantageous to finish your calls before 6 PM Eastern. You may not encounter the problem of the dialer running out of numbers, but it's possible so I wanted to explain this issue.
